The Golden Globes in Los Angeles: not just an award ceremony, but a full slate of events around town that spans days. From Lionsgate's night-before party that harkened to Hollywood's heyday to a gifting suite that benefited Haiti relief efforts, here's a look at some of the week's notable offerings.

Lionsgate took to the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday night before the Golden Globes, hosting a party to fete its nominees—including Precious and Mad Men—produced by Benarroch Productions. DJ Mr. Best spun for the dense crowd, which had a celebratory air.

Chad Hudson Events produced Summit Entertainment's party in the Stardust Room on the Beverly Hilton's eighth floor, where a blue and purple scheme with uplighting and a mosaic-style gobo on the ceiling was created by by Visions Lighting. DJ Lee Dyson spun at one end of the room, and La Premier supplied the flowers.

On Globes night, Fox—all six of its divisions—took its party for about 700 to Craft. 15/40 Productions handled the production and design, including creating chandeliers from Edison light bulbs that hung over bars, echoing the existing bulbs in the restaurant's space.

On Friday and Saturday, In Style presented its beauty lounge at the Four Seasons, where guests came for a range of pampering services. Caravents designed the event, which included an indoor area and a tent done in luxe white draping for a feminine look.

L'Oreal set up a beauty lounge within HBO's Luxury Lounge at the Four Seasons. KPR and the Visionary Group created the look, which transformed the hotel suite into a modern-looking, primarily white salon, with an indoor styling area for women and a more masculine outdoor space for men.

Platinum Publicity's "Hollywood Helping Haiti" lounge at the House of Blues Foundation Room focused its charitable component on Haiti. Attending celebrities signed a charity board and T-shirts to be auctioned off, and Platinum's Melanie Segal also made donations to Haiti relief for each celebrity who came. Further, organizers will donate $5,000 gift bags to be auctioned for the cause.
